 While the Pickleball craze has taken over the US and Canada it is still in its infancy on the east coast of Mexico but great opportunities exist for playing and additional facilities are on the horizon here in Playa Del Carmen and the surrounding area.

The largest community of "Picklers" gathers at the Poliforum sports facility on the west side of Playa. With six well maintained courts and an optional 7th court these courts are the number one option for short term visitors, Snowbirds and locals alike. The people who manage, maintain and entertain these courts are among the friendliest and most helpful you will find anywhere. Visitors are always welcome with paddles,  balls  and even beginner level instruction included in the very nominal playing fee. 
Players of all levels are all welcome and grouped into skill levels to ensure fun for all. If you are fortunate enough to be staying nearby one of the local players, you may be able to catch a ride to and from the Poliforum. You can also take a taxi or ride a bike. Lots of options.

There are also Pickleball facilities in Playacar Fase II, Puerto Morelos, Puerto Aventuras and Akumal.

Bring sturdy tennis/pickleball shoes, lots of water, sunscreen a hat and most importantly a smile!
